Game Tables and Boards

Over the years we have developed a selection of what we believe are our own unique design Chess Tables and Game Boards. The pieces are all Solid Woods, No Veneers, which are so common in today’s “wood” game boards. We use select figured hardwoods found in our area. We nearly always have our full selection is stock. From time-to-time we also make custom game tables and boards in other woods, special sizes, and on occasion games which we do not otherwise generally stock.

Cherry Chess Table The playing squares each measure 2 ½” X 2 ½”, and the perimeter of the top is approximately 5” wide (plenty of room for placing captured pieces, or a beverage), thus the overall dimensions are approximately 30” square X 30” tall. The table has a felt-lined drawer on either side large enough to store a “jumbo” set of chessmen. This table is available in any combination of the following woods: Cherry, Black Walnut, Tiger (curly) Maple, and Birdseye Maple.

Black Walnut Chess Board The playing squares each measure 2” X 2 ”, and the perimeter of the top is approximately ” wide AND 1 ½” thick, thus the overall dimensions are approximately 20” square. This chess board is available in any combination of the following woods: Cherry, Black Walnut, Tiger (curly) Maple, and Birdseye Maple.

Folding Backgammon Set The woods used here are Black Walnut, Tiger Maple and Cherry. The board folds up, is closed by two brass latches, and may be carried as a brief case with its' leather handle affixed with brass hardware. Open, the board measures approximately 19" x 29". The playing surface of this board will accommodate up to 1 3/4" diameter discs. The outside panels of the case are Tiger Maple, framed in Black Walnut. All woods are solid, we use no veneers on this playing board. There are felt-lined storage compartments at either end of the board. It is supplied with a matching Black Walnut shaker cup, dice and doubler.

Tabletop Backgammon Set The woods used in this board are Black Walnut, Tiger Maple and Cherry. The frame of the board is Black Walnut. The board measures approximately 22" x 32". The playing surface of this board will accommodate up to 1 3/4" diameter discs. All woods are solid, we use no veneers in this Board. There are felt-lined storage compartments at either end of the board. It is supplied with a matching Black Walnut shaker cup, dice and doubler.

Black Walnut and Birdseye Maple Chess Table The contrasting woods in this table make it a stunner! The playing squares each measure 2 ½” X 2 ½”, and the perimeter of the top is approximately 5” wide (plenty of room for placing captured pieces, or a beverage), thus the overall dimensions are approximately 30” square X 30” tall. The table has a felt-lined drawer on either side large enough to store a “jumbo” set of chessmen. This table is available in any combination of the following woods: Cherry, Black Walnut, Tiger (curly) Maple, and Birdseye Maple. This table is shown with a set of “Jumbo” Chessmen. While we do not make these chess sets, we do make them available for those of our clients wishing to purchase a complete chess set. They are excellent quality, double weighted, of Rosewood and Maple.
